Title: Two questions
Post by: palahniukkubrick on December 12, 2003, 06:31:00 pm
technically it's three, but whatever...  :)

Did any of you see the Melvins and Tomahawk? if so, how were they?

 Old 97's: worth it?

I've never seen the Old 97s or Rhett Miller live (yet), but from the albums, I'd say definitely worth it.  And that's from someone who's not a full-on alt.country head.  (or whatever you want to call that genre...)

yes - I saw them open for Wilco a few years ago and was very impressed - I think Satellite Rides is a great album

If you have as good taste in music as directors and writers, I suspect taking a chance on the old 97s is a very reasonable idea.

Saw the Old 97s live once and saw them on HBO doing a live set.  Both were great.
