I don't want to buy my ticket from TicketBastard cos it'll end up costing four times as much for the damn charges they put on, but I don't want to show up on the 23rd and have it sold out. I imagine Evanescense won't sell out, but do people generally get excited about a show for just a dollar and go anyway? Do they usually get pretty packed? Thanks! (http://www.930.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Evansecence is a fantastic band and i dont see who would NOT pay $1 to see them. but since i live in Bmore and work 2 jobs, i bought 2 tickets for $12.27 and had my ass raped my tickets.com
thats what i get i suppose, but every time i wait til show date its sold out!! (see tonights show for ex.)
it was still $6 per ticket which aint bad. for convienence i suppose

I usually try to go to all the $1 dollar shows cause lets face it.....You cant get anything for a buck these days.
-
The only $1 show I ever went to was Beth Orton with Kelly Willis. They just don't get artists like that for $1 any more.
-
I believe i saw three concerts for a buck......Apollo 440, American Hi Fi and Trik Turner. Not bad for a buck.

I wonder if Sonick still thinks Evanescence is a fantastic band?
-
Hahaha...I was bored and digging through old threads a while ago and came across this one. I thought about bumping it for that exact reason but decided to spare him the embarrassment.
-
Goddamn, remember when all the telco companies were going buck wild with those 10-10/collect numbers? What ever happened to that business model?
-
I want 1.01 shows
-
I was actually at that 1.01 Evanescence show. It was cheap, and I had been intrigued by their decent mix of piano/nu-metal. And the lead singer had an amazing voice. The show itself? Pretty crappy. The redeeming feature of the band was their willingness to soften up and thrown in classical-style piano, and live there was no piano whatsoever. Just bland nu-metal guitar sound. The lead guitarist had a major attitude. Even though he came down and was signing autographs directly after the concert, he was acting like God's gift to concert-goers, not like some (at the time) barely known band.

hilarious.
we left that show 4 songs in thinking "why did we just drive to DC for that?" I enjoyed that song for a little while. she was a total boob onstage though.

I was at the Beth Orton show too!
-
I remember the artists were introduced by a WHFS dj, who received quite a few boos.
He introduced Beth Orton and Kelly Willis as if his station actually played their music.
