That's about what I got out of the great CD settlement!!! check arrived today. Woohoooo!

Yep I got mine too. It's on it's way to my checking account now. Think I'll go down to Borders at lunch and buy a cd with the money....that is if $14 is enough!!!
My wife's still waiting on hers.

$14 would be plenty at Revolution Records at the Van Ness Metro - maybe not as convenient but much more reasonable prices than Borders

I know there's another thread on this, but I got mine today as well. Maybe I'll finally hit Revolution Records, as I feel the windfall *must* be spent on more music!

yeah, I know it sounds like I'm shilling for them but I was just so impressed when I stopped by there on Saturday and if people actually go there I think it will get even better

Yeah I know Borders sucks but it's just a block or two from my office. Never been to Revolution...I'll have to check it out sometime.

It is a cool place, and the owner is a real nice guy. If only it were a tad bigger.

I agree completely...their stock is really diverse, all the latest pop hits and lots of pretty obscure indie releases too. They're literally trying to do everything, but their small size makes that a bit frustrating. I can't help but think that a small store has to specialize in something to survive, because there's not enough room to cover everything (or even a couple things) very well.
