Defo Motown to fill the dancefloor and Elvis.

A Brit angle, because I'm a Brit so not sure went on over here other than drugs and hippies etc.

Check google for 60's Mersey sound, Liverpool pretty much ruled the Brit scene in the 60's

 Gerry and the Pacemakers
 The Beatles

 outside of Liverpool

 The Kinks, London
 The Who, London
 The Rolling Stones, London
 Freddie and the Dreamers, Manchester
 Marriane Faithful

Look up Mods and Rockers for more information.....I would've been a mod personally!

Look up the soundtrack for the movie "Quadrophenia" and you'll get a good idea.

 Enjoy your party!
