Caught Interstellar last night. Fantastic. Talk about feelings.

snowpeircer - weird, but I liked it.  now on Netflix, don't think I would have paid for it.  The Willie wonaka ref was spot on.
I'm going to check out his first movie the Host

I finally watched Snowpiercer, it was actually OK for me not being a fan of that genre particularly. The part where they first get to the children's school car, or whatever, is really jarring and surreal and I thought it was really clever in the middle of the film.

It was a little on the nose about obvious political analogies, but all and all, I did not feel like I wasted 2 hours on it. Solid B-/B.

Saw Snowpiercer the other night as well. I think 95% on Rotten Tomatoes is a wee bit high. It's a good movie. I just think that premise of the dystopian future has been overdone. It reminded me a lot of the game Bioshock. It had a little of every one of those types of movies. I was more trying to wrap my head around how big that train was and wondering if people from the dentist trains had to walk through the nightclub train to get to the sauna train.... Kind of funny. It was a alright.

Also, they showed a preview for "Chappie", which is the new film from the guy who did Disttrict 9, and it looks like Baby and Ninja from Die Antwoord are in the movie lol.

That isn't his first movie... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0094435/?ref_=tt_ov_dr#director

It is however, really good.  I love Korean cinema and the Host did not disappoint.

Speaking of Korean cinema, did anyone see Chingu 2 (Friend 2) yet?  The first one was so good...

I was worried 2 might not be great... But it does have the same director so I plan on watching it one of these days.

Their imagery is always very cool. Their videos are super cool. I love their music but a lot of people don't... It was funny to see them playing themselves [I think] in the trailer. I thought Elysium was a little preachy, but I think I can get down with Chappie.

Chappie looks pretty preachy too, at least in the preview I saw...

It looks less preachy. Elysium might as well have been a filibuster about immigration. I got the idea with District 9, dude.

Chat away.

I thought it was excellent.  Loved the soundtrack.  Edward Norton was great.

Gone Girl - meh.

It wasn't bad, but I think it's probably better if one hasn't read the book.  The biggest flaw was that Amy was never sympathetic in the film.  It just plays like a psycho wife thriller (not that she isn't more than a little psycho).   Her character was more well rounded in the book.
