So what's the best zombie movie?
night of the living dead
28* days later
Shaun of the Dead
Zombieland and Dawn Of The Dead were also good. Really didn't mind 28 weeks later, although I hated the kids, which maybe means I hated the movie...

Also, not really a zombie movie, but Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil is a damn entertaining comedy/horror along the lines of Shaun Of The Dead and Zombieland.

in my opinion, which means what outside of my mind, the greatest zombie anything of all time, is return of the living dead, which someone already mentioned.  I give, silent moments on honor to that film and the line of 'send more cops' will last forever.

Was told over the weekend that "It Follows" was a fun movie. Was also intrigued by "Ex Machina"... Anyone seen either of these? Wanna head out to the movies and catch one of these.
Since horror is the topic of the day; yes to It Follows.  It Follows is an excellent movie with an interesting premise.  Rent/download/stream/buy it soon, it is definitely something I would recommend as an avid horror movie fan.

Edit:  I just noticed this is from months ago (I searched for the movie title in the thread to see if anyone mentioned it).

I agree. I watched in in high school in installments during lunch (on VHS!) and it was so awesome! Have since seen it all at once a few times.

ummm Trainspotting 2

all the original cast...well except Kevin McKidd

I thought the book 'porno' was just meh (compared to Trainspotting)
but I have faith that Boyle will do this right

Funny.  I just found my autographed copy of Porno while moving.  Markie and LuLu snagged me a copy and inside, Irvine wrote "Smackie, stop reading out loud!"

It's brilliant, really.

Watched "What We Do In The Shadows" the other night, dang funny movie! Excited to hear the sequel is being worked on with the werewolves this time as opposed to the vampires. Funny mockumentary style stuff.

Ok still really no new news on this....but there is a Blade Runner 2 coming out

It?s official: Blade Runner 2 is on, and the boys are back together again. Original director Ridley Scott is producing, Harrison Ford is back as detective Deckard, and the screenplay is co-written by the original?s Hampton Fancher, based on an idea by him and Scott. Prisoners/Enemy director Denis Villeneuve is due to direct it next summer, and Ford says the script is ?the best thing he?s ever read?. Is it too good to be true?

but I hate to get my hopes up as I know they are going to screw it up

More news....

Ryan Gosling is a great choice for Blade Runner 2.
Yeah, and I got Harrison back. Because Harrison said, ?Meh,? and I said, ?No, read this.? And I think he said, ?This is the best script I?ve ever had.? We?ve been working on it for a couple of years.

You once said he?s a Replicant in the first one.
Of course he?s a bloody Replicant! He?s going to have to admit it.

responding to old posts, but the BBC mini series called Dead Set is a pretty great zombie tv show...basically takes place on the set of Big Brother.  yes, it sounds terrible, but its really great
