^unfortunately or fortunately I bought a really craptastic ticket.. I could not get the frickin' system to work for me with explorer and my ticket kungfu was weak and by the time I got a ticket it was lame.. plus Idid not know the first thing about the venue or understand it at all..my bad.

but you know what.. I 'm going to see Iggy Pop again! YAH! I will surely be driving to and from the show the day of the show..obviously I can give an environmentally friendly ride to someone willing to metro out to East Falls Church (I can't come into DC during the day).. on the way back I can drop person off anywhere.... I will look to leave very early afternoon to take no chances...

Thanks again for lining up some great acts for Merriweather! The horror master, John Carpenter, is looking at doing a US tour in release of his second solo album. It would be awesome to get him at the club or even Lincoln.

John Carpenter is doing a New York show on July 8th and his FB page says it is the 'first US date'.

Would be amazing if you could bring that special tour to DC.

I would imagine that festivals pay them really well, but they could sell out the club. They almost never do club shows anymore...they pretty much do Riot fest and Punk Rock Bowling gigs. I'm guessing they just show up and gear is already there based on their contract.
