The Residents release $100,000 Ultimate Box Set

Upping the ante on the deluxe reissue market, surrealist pranksters The Residents have announced the box set to end all box sets. The $100,000 Ultimate Box Set is housed in a 28 cubic foot fridge, and contains a first release of every Residents album, single, DVDs and videos, which adds up to over 100 titles in total, and a genuine eyeball mask (with top hat).

Does anyone have a suggestion for where to purchase the My Bloody Valentine reissues (the ones that supposedly came out a few months ago) at a good price? Amazon has them listed as imports, and the prices are very high for some reason ($74.99 for Loveless???).

Grooves Inc. has been very good to me. Current MBV offerings. Ships from Basel and surprisingly fast for overseas.

And if you want to stay stateside there's ImportCDs.com, with whom I've also had good luck. Current MBV offerings.

I do..almost exclusively USED cds that is.... up to 2000... probably picked up 1500 of those just this year...

people are sheep..they are told cds suck and throw them away... just like they did with records in the 1980s and 90s...

you know what really sucks and will never have any value?

MP3s

note with the big star box you're not just getting "CDs".. its a nice package and for $21 a steal if you're a fan.

How many neovinylists pay $30 for a record and then play it on a POS Crosley portable?

for a warped record at that...

I love records.. have about 10,000.... but new vinyl is overpriced and tends to be crap quality..

the bargains these days are in used CDs...even new cds... the new dylan album i found new for $6.99... the LP was going for about $30... even for a vinyl lover that was a no brainer

its interesting how soon new issues won't be on CD.. the new Black Crowes live album is coming out on vinyl and digital (MP3 format?)..no cd... this trend will accelerate as the sheeple continue dumping their cds and believing they have no value
