Im pretty sure I am going to grab a weekend pass and plane ticket, and then hope maybe Preston or someone will let me crash on their couch at night! Definitely a sick line up and from what i have heard, a great experience.

Preston is a really cool guy. We've had a lot of good personal conversations where we agree on so much. Don't know about his living situation so don't have a clue if he could help you out or not. Kind of surprised that one of his bands isn't on the bill.

I personally never saw an issue with keeping all show announcements regardless of location to a single thread.

Radio City is larger than DAR.

No clue about Warfield, but google is your friend.

I personally think each person should have their own show announcements thread.

Probably less than 10% of DC shows get posted on the just announced thread anyway...

Yes, I know Google is my friend but I was hoping you might be too!
 :D

well based on those numbers I can see why they may not play DC... would they sell 2200 tickets in DC?

maybe but its not a slam dunk..

this Pulp mini tour is much like a PJ Harvey mini tour...hit the major markets then get the hell out :)

haven't been to the Warfield since the 2008 renovation....but at least you can smoke weed there and much smaller than Radio City  ;D

most if not all of the open-mic, singer-songwriter, cover band, etc shows aren't announced in JA, and i'm OK with that.

the important thing is 99% of the shows that are announced in JA are DC shows.  it's not the completeness of the listing that counts, it's the fact that you can go there for DC-only information.  the noise from non-DC shows is pretty low.  i like that.

Since when was the ability to smoke weed in a venue an issue about which you cared?
Stoned Joe would be fun to watch.
