Maybe they are making more of it? It was $22.99 with no limit in Charleston SC Friday. Price and quality is still very Space approved. Though honestly I'm more excited by the cans I picked up at Charles Town Fermentory.

Walkie is inconsistent as he railed against chick fil a and my eating there...

truth... and if there weren't 100's of beers better than FW, I could understand... but there are too many offerings better to line their pockets.

yada, what are you go-to BBA'ed beers?

In my old age, I'm falling into a Space-esque few ounce pour when drinking BBA'ed stouts. I've also recently started to clear my cellar of them.

I don't even think I have a go to at this point, but have had many delicious ones over the past year. Cycle, Fieldwork, Trillium, Veil, and Central Waters stick out in my head as some of the best I've had, even KBS and Bourbon County are better. I find the trail blazer Parabola thin and watery compared to the ones mentioned above. Additionally, I probably shouldn't comment on Barleywine as I don't even like it.

I also loved CBS, my guess is Space didn't like it because of the space ratio vs. the actual taste.

For a long, time ago, in a beer store far far away, I enjoyed firestone walker and their brewed line ups.  i heard they got bought out at some point, but i don't follow the behind the scene activities of what companies do in their free time . . . or their paid time . . . I only care about what goes in my mouth and how it excites me in the process.  how, gay i know, but isn't that the point.  how it tastes?  I have not had a FW in a while, so I gave that beer a chance and it is my fridge now about to be swallowed long and nicely for about 45 minutes, this evening.  If it, sucks, pardon the pun, I will never buy it again.

The, end.

plus, i love the fact that quite a few of the mighty old timer beer, that once ruled the minds of people standing in line for it, are now everywhere.  Some now suck compared to the way it was, and some retain their original character . . . like founders backwoods bastard.

By the way, that Firestone Walker 2018 Sucaba, was incredible. You do have to drink it slow and savor it like you're drinking a fine glass of wine. All in all, I give it a thumbs up.

that Firestone Walker 2018 Sucaba,
gave that a long stare down at the bottle shop tonight, pick it up next time

but my find was Loudoun Co's Solace's Ghillie Ghillie
a quite scrumptious red IPA

also they are almost begging you to take the KBS
staff said there was some issues with WVA's shipment of KBS and there was a state law the forbid the sale of that high of alcohol
so that is why the DMV has more than usual

one thing I found annoying
big bottle vs 4 pack

Was only $1 for the 4 Pack...but you get almost another bomber oz wise for that dollar
craft beer pricing really annoys the heck out of me

There must be a few people here who drink something a cut above PBR, no?

What beers are you currently enjoying?

I'm really digging this:

And after a stop at their brewery in Cooperstown, NY, i'm enjoying the mix pack from Ommegang. Especially love the Ommegang Ale.

I've been gravitating to session ales, here in my older days.

I tried a bomber of KBS. My total Wine had plenty of it. I think they rang up the price wrong too and I got it cheaper than whatever the sign said. I liked it just fine.

I split a 15% 16 oz can of Aslin Bale, their recent peanut butter stout, with my wife last night. Founders Breakfast Stout *is* a session ale!

It was good, for a pb stout. Incredibly smooth, couldn't taste the alcohol at all. The pb leaves a weird aftertaste so I don't think i'll be purchasing that one on the regular.

AF may be one of the most annoying acronyms to surface in recent months.

Also, rumor has it Space has year's worth of Doom stocked up.
