I don't want to get all James Ford on everybody but isn't this what Seth was talking about in the "On Sale" thread?

brian, i think there is a difference between sharing it among friends/regulars, and broadcasting it (for example, posting it directly on the board for everyone to see and make it searcheable).

seth is in favor of building community here.  sharing builds community.

If someone could shoot me the pre-sale PW I'd greatly appreciate it. Went to Freefest last year and look forward to another long day at second stage!

And I went to VFest last year, so theoretically that means I should get the password. I don't feel bad asking for what may have been erroneously not sent to me.

By the way, guys- the Virgin Festival Facebook also has a lot of good info. They're being awesome about answering questions.

http://www.facebook.com/VirginMobileFestival

Especially this one:

"When the customer orders the ticket online, the purchaser will be asked to type in their full name. On the day of show, the purchaser will need to present their ID with the tickets so that we ensure that the person that ordered the ticket is the one USING the ticket while also accompanying their guest (who will use the second ticket with the purchasers' name on it).

In other words, you don't need to know the name of the lucky friend you'll be bringing, you'll just need to know your own name :)"

The difference is that this show has been officially announced. It's the unpublished, unannounced shows that we don't want links posted for on the forum.

Thanks, Amy -- good to know.

I believe that PMing the presale info is vastly diff from posting links and info for 'general consumption.'  Of note, if I saw a request from someone who registered today with one post to his/her name, I would not PM them the info.

Again, just too many details / pages to follow. Hey Amy, under "info" TM is listed as website.

Haggis - yep...lol so much for pre-freesale.

Question: is there a fee on top of the "free"/$5/$125?

As much as I'm interested in the music, I'm almost more interested in seeing how well this name attached to the ticket thing works out.
