To be fair, he was probably going to cancel eventually anyway.

That's why it's in the Onion thread - he actually gave a reason far enough in advance that people didn't have to buy tickets or get their hopes up of actually being able to see Moz live, when, in reality, we all knew they were never going to happen.

Morrissey refusing to play at venues that won't go vegetarian is nothing new, its often in his clauses that the venue can't serve meat.

Coachella apparently offered to go vegetarian in an effort to get Morrissey and Marr to play as The Smiths a few years back.

Can you imagine a unwashed farting mass of people?  The portapotty people would probably require hazmat suits

Perhaps this is more fitting for the "When Reality Reflects Arrested Development."

I read this earlier today and was absolutely stunned. Not really sure how its "kidnapping" but everyone involved needs some major child abuse charges, and the "kidnapper" and anyone else who was complicit in the de-pants'ing of the boy needs on the registry.

EDIT: The story in the above link is less detailed than what I read earlier. In that account, once in the basement, the boy's pants were removed and he was threatened with sodomy, IIRC.
