I believe he faces 5 years minimum and up to like 15.
but he's got money and ergo good lawyers
but it is high profile and any prison he goes to...he will probably wish they gave him the death penalty as child molesters don't do well there

I will never forget leaving my lunch at home and going to Sheetz to buy a veggie sandwich only to have the screen inform me "Fries are the new lettuce" and ask me if I'd like to swap my lettuce for french fries directly on the sandwich. This is why people are fat.

Not to defend the guy or the severity of the sentence, but I think he only had sex with one 17 year-old hooker.  Other than that, the charges are mostly about condoning (and watching) child porn made by the head of his charity.

This is not what I've been lead to believe. Now, I'm not saying everything I've read is true, and I know that the media tends to run with salacious stuff, but if he said this:

Quote
?I had a little boy. It was amazing,? Fogle reportedly said, in response to a question about being with children. ?It just felt so good. I mean, it felt?it felt so good.?

I can't imagine him calling a 17 yr old a "little boy". Plus my impression is that there's been more than just this. It was just the kiddie porn that implicated him.

If those tapes are real then I would presume (hope) that further charges and jail terms are forthcoming.

That was curious to me too: did the FBI think after year 3 of compiling this, "hey, wait, he might still lead us to some NAMBLA cabal?"

Isn't it some sort of super-serious felony to make plans to leave the country to commit what would be a sex crime here? I think I remember something like that on Law and Order: SVU, the surest source of on-point legal information.

It seems like every week I see someone saying "God, the world is really turning into Idiocracy" and I scoff, but god damn, seeing this thing..... good lord.

Something seemed off about this to me, and there it was: "Reese"? Not "Reese's"? Was this from another Onion wannabe?

Turns out that our Reese's are Reese in Canada. Your least useful fact of the day.

From Wikipedia in regards to REESE:
Quote
In Canada, where they are packaged as Reese Peanut Butter Cups (except Reese's pieces), but still widely referred to by their American name, they come in a standard pack of three 0.55 oz. cups or the king-size variation with four cups.
