It has become really hard to tell where and when one can park.... its very confusing....all over DC actually.. I was going to park on Georgia Ave before Afghan Whigs but the signs confused me and even after asking a police officer I was unsure so I moved on and lucked out on a spot nearer to the club.

DC seems to get a perverse pleasure in screwing over non-residents.... the metro system is a disgrace with their $1 extra charge for those without the smartrip card.

i will continue to completely tune out any complaints like this until we enact a commuter tax.

more specifically, DC needs to continue to aggressively implement performance parking.  parking on public city streets should be priced to accurately reflect the cost.  this is a good, concise summary:

"Dupont Circle, like most of DC's busy neighborhoods, has far more demand for parking than supply of on-street spaces. Right now, we allocate the limited resource of spaces in one way. The meeting will discuss whether to allocate them in a different way."

Really? I think non-residents should at least be able to tell where they can park!

Listen I lived in DC for 15 years so  I hear you... I just don't think people shoud be ripped off with things like the paper fare card.. Yeah, lets screw over tourists! That will show them!

what's so confusing? parking seems pretty straightforward to me. every parkable street i've seen has signs that designates hours and limits, zone, and street sweeping. if there's no sign, it's fair game for anyone. if it's meters, the meter calls out the restrictions.

Many areas- maybe the less Tony areas- don't really have clear parking signs and the meters don't tell you anything.. At least that was the case on Georgia Ave. by the 930. I THINK i would have been ok parking but there wasn't really a way to tell. On top of that there is an army of people out ticketing the second you make a misstep and they sometimes ticket people who are parked LEGALLY.

Commuter tax in to DC. That's the most retarded suggestion I've heard in a long time.

FIrst time in my life! and most probably last...

I guess Cabrera is just not a popular player.. if it had been Hamilton or Pujols I think it would have gotten a ton of attention...

The fact that he plays in Detroit probably doesn't help either.
