another new (new to me at least) venue in DC

https://www.facebook.com/slashrun/

Slash Run is a rock n’ roll burger joint, bar and music venue located in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, DC serving a variety of wildly delicious burgers, wings, fries and more from the kitchen plus a wide variety of local craft-beers and a massive whiskey list at the bar

these are end times when we have 'MOSH-FIT'

Didn't stay for Weezer
they did play buddy holly first as we were leaving and felt I got 'the full Weeze' that I needed
I think I made the right choice as I didn't need an ironic cover of "Africa" by toto either

not sure we needed this either...Toto to release cover of Weezer’s “Hash Pipe”

love me some =w=. bought the urban outfitters only green vinyl edition of the cover of Africa. if that show would have been in DC or Maryland, would have been the show of the week for me.

=w= > DC > Urban Outfitters > Maryland > vinyl > that cover of Africa

EDIT:

I like Toto's cover better, but I'm not sure I'm complimenting there.....

It's probably been 15 years since I bought something from Urban Outfitters and much longer since I bought vinyl.

I hear =w= probably once a week, definitely once every two weeks.

Tough to say.  They were everywhere in LA when I was in college in the early 90's and hard not to see.  Some of their early shows were great with very few people around, but of course their catalog was limited.

Maybe the Pinkerton tour show at the 930 in 96 or 97?  I was a big fan of that as a second album.  Totally different sound and vibe, which I loved.

If not that show, when they hit the road again in like 2005 at the Warfield in SF.

I will say though, that I can't remember a bad show at the Joint in Vegas.  Always worth the trip for the right band.

It’s unclear if fans or Jackson’s estate will be awarded for the criminal behavior or whether there will be an monetary punishment for Sony.
