Dope Body

Really liking this a lot. I tune out after 5 or 6 songs but I suspect I just need to get more familiar with them.

I wonder if new Dope Body fans would dig their old music...

I have liked them less and less as their albums have came out (20 pound brick - Nupping - Natural History - Lifer), even to the point that I left early during a set of theirs that I caught recently.  BUT, the next time I saw them (a few weeks back for the Lifer release show), I had a few beers in me and I really enjoyed it.

Also, I need to listen to Lifer the next time I am working from home.  I got it the other day but have not given it a spin yet...

I came to 'Lifer' having never heard them before so I didn't have any previous affections to influence my opinion. I saw that they'd been discussed here so I checked it out and like it.

I wasnt letting their old music influence my opinion on their new music - I simply made the statement that I personally liked their older tunes better.  The newer tunes have better production and you can actually understand the singing, most of the time, but I felt like the chaos of their older music has been lost, and that is sad.  I have only heard the tunes from Lifer live, and need to listen to the album one of these days.

Nor was I implying that you should like something more than something else; I put a link to their old stuff just for comparison.
