Bryce Harper 0 for 5 with 4 K’s

Let’s hope the home run derby messes up his swing

Really don't want to see Manny in NY pinstripes.  Chicago pinstripes would be okay, depending on the return of course.  If the old man is still alive I can't believe he'd okay a trade to the Yankees.

Don't be silly.  Take the best offer you can get - he's a free agent this off season anyway.

You're right.  It'll only be a short-term rental.

Even with the rosters expanded to 30, the Angles didn't have a starting pitcher available last night because 6 pitchers (5 of which are starters) are on the shelf for Tommy John surgery.

So they decided to use only relievers last night and were no hitting the Rangers through 8 1/3 innings, pitching to a 27-year-old farm hand catcher making his major league debut.

Just to add to this, the starter was Smackie's favorite punching bag, Jim Johnson, who hadn't started since his MLB debut back in 2006.  The 666 relief appearances he’d made between the starts was the second-longest stretch in big league history (just four behind Tyler Clippard).

He was the 16th different starter for the Angels this season, and they used 8 of their 14-man pen for the 1-0 shutout.

Oh baseball.

Well hello, Milwaukee.

Traded for Yelich and apparently just signed Lorenzo Cain.

RBI singles for both today in winning the division.  Nice work front office.

So the Indians and the Braves go down on Columbus Day.  On to the Redskins.

The Washington Football Club really didn't stand a chance, did they?

16-1 defeat for the Yankees last night. I'll take it. As an O's fan, this postseason is so depressing...really seeing how scattered all my favorite players across the teams are now.

I went hiking this past weekend and lost my favorite hat. It was a hat I got at a Jackson, Wyoming thrift store for like two bucks. I liked it because it reminded me of a great family vacation we went on. I also liked it because it said "Jackson, Wyoming" instead of "Jackson Hole, Wyoming" , as all of the Jackson related hats sold online say the latter.

Then last night I found a Yankees hat. One of those fitted jobbers that somebody probably overpaid for. Then I got home and thought to myself, "Why did I take that hat? I'm never going to wear a Yankees hat in public." I guess it will be a nice gift for my Brooklyn born sister-in-law.
