. . . someone who will never tour again.  when i saw him at the patriot, it was magical.
seconded.

i've been considering making the trip to chicago just to see this.  you're pushing me closer, K8!

If you go, you will not be disappointed.

Really interesting & cool exhibit. Very crowded. Bowie fans will enjoy it a lot. I'm glad I didn't make a specific trip out just for it, but it was worth seeing. I'm still processing how it was all curated. I wouldn't have done it the way they did, but it was still a hoot to see all the many faces & incarnations of Bowie through the years.

saw the show the Sunday after Xmas - $25 well spent - and you could spent a lot more at the gift shop which was amazing.  Checked the MCA website and the Bowie mugs are now only $3.58 (you know you want one).

the hardcover catalog is beautiful and weighs a ton.

I spent over 100 bucks at the gift shop getting Christmas Presents.

You can get the book from amazon for cheaper though.

the video is like a little movie, so should be able to be enjoyed with out the album
David Bowie is one of the first artists in music to really leverage the medium of video and music...so one should never shrug off things he does like this as fluff to sell records

makes his voice more whiney, and the first 4 minutes would pass for radiohead.
