as a gay kid growing up, in the closet, and before the world of the internet . . . I had, the sears catalog and the men's underwear section to get, me by.

As a straight kid growing up, and before the world of the internet, I had the Sears catalog and the lingerie section to get me by.

That was the excuse to get the catalog when visiting the grandparents - "I'm, uh, picking out toys for Xmas!"

I am not sure if your job is stressful, but mine is.  my job, can make you want to wind up on dropping like flies, so someone on here can be the first person to post about it, but they won't, because you are not famous, and only they count.

I would be far more personally affected if we lost you, than losing, say Carrie Fisher.

and that is the thing about George Michael.. I really think he largely squandered the gifts he had been given..

This letter from Frank Sinatra is dead on...spot on.. unfortunately.... and from that letter on how many albums did George Michael release? Three (one a very underwhelming covers album even I did not like and I tended to like just about everything he did...).. in 26 years.. his last studio album was in 2004

The article of course is complete bullshit..but the letter is not....

When Sinatra said he'd been there.. he'd been there... the period between leaving Columbia and Mitch Miller and signing with Capitol.....quite a few years.. where he was basically being supported by his mistress and then girlfriend Ava Gardner... complete wasted years.. and he knew it... he knew he'd wasted much of his prime feeling sorry for himself and drinking....and when he got a miraculous second chance spurred largely by his role as Maggio in From Here to Eternity.. well, he conquered the world and he never looked back... and he kept working and working and working..

(click for full size if you have poor eyesight)

I submit this may be the worst CD collection in history. I mean, dear God.
