really really bad senario for the rest of the nonbig 4
Interesting.  I also read that it's really a one year "showcase" for West Ham who have a pre-arranged profit split with Corinthians after they get better exposure, and presumably more money from European clubs next year.  I agree, either way it sets a bad precedent for the league.

Rough Saturday for you, eh?  I'll stick to the premiereship to start.

What a chippy Newcastle match that was!  I have said it time and time again - don't underestimate the Americans when folks from other nations are delivering the ball in the box!  Crushing defeat, especially after Parker shook off ending Bullards career to put the Maggies ahead.  I couldn't watch the replays, but Smackette watched the play over and over again and said with where his knee cap ended up, he's in big trouble to make a comeback.

The Maggies back four were just terrible the last 10 minutes.

Ho hum, 12 from 4 for Rooney and Scholesless United.  If it's any consolation, I did have to sit through Ruud's hat-trick this weekend for Real.

Actually, I liked seeing Ruud scoring three goals. Imagine the problems in the team when Ronaldo is back, they will have to choose among Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Cassano, Raul, Robinho... I like it, I think we have new problems for Real this year.

UPDATE

Jimmyâ??s kneecap was dislocated by accident. Thankfully the incident happened right in front of us so we were able to relocate it back into position within the first 25 seconds. He was taken to hospital straight away and the ex-ray showed no significant bone damage. Thankfully he doesnâ??t seem to have anything significant in terms of a fracture. Weâ??ll get him in for an MRI scan and look at everything in more detail which will tell us how long Jimmy will be out for.

Jimmy will fly back with us this evening (Saturday) and once the scans have been completed weâ??ll have a clear idea of how long he'll be out for.

I can think of worse problems to have, but I see your point.

These 2 games will also be broadcast on ESPN Classic at the same time for those that don't have Setanta.
