Nobody will care if I start auctioning off stuff though. Unless you care about first pressing Husker Du stuff and rare Catherine Wheel EPs.

Ok...technically not Vinyl...but leans heavy towards it The first ever ‘National Album Day’ has been announced

A social media campaign (@AlbumDayUK / #NationalAlbumDay) will invite people to nominate and share the album that has most inspired them and at 3.33pm on 13th October – National Album Day – fans, stores, radio stations and public spaces will be invited to play their favourite album in full.

so at 3.55 PM does everyone have to flip their record to listen to the other side

(When cut at 33 rpm the records hold about 22 minutes of music per side.)

A lot of cds are highly collectible but most of them (overwhelmingly) are worthless and I don’t see that ever changing...any audiophile mfsl or certain Japanese or early issues with unique mastering can be worth hundreds...rare early “targets”

And then there are amazing compilations well worth having..or deluxe editions

Also as cds increasingly go out of print it’s feasible that some will become collectible

True for all formats, especially vinyl. It's funny when alleged collectors see pictures like this:

and think "OMG! So much treasure!". Uh, no.

I know that record is supposed to say Brahms but if you squint, it kind of looks like Branca.

A small, but very well curated, record store has went in two blocks from my house and I now find a slow trickle of my money going out every weekend when I'm out walking.
