Bummer. Thanks.

Guess I'll sit here and play From Here We Go Sublime really loud. It's been a while since I've given it a good run-through anyway.

Real excited about the Swervedriver date also. I got into them way late... in 1997 (99th Dream)...

sorry -- been busy all day! but youll be happy to know for all of a few seconds i thought of you and what youd be missing. the presets were just brilliant. its hard to realize how just 2 guys can make music so f'ing great. the drummer is quite cool - plays some of the stuff standing up and plays keyboards on a few songs. the lead singer is just awesome. he was wearing this bright neon pink jacket with a shirt with lip prints on it (all in hot pink). under the lights it looked glowing. When he wasnt playing the keyboards he was dancing up a storm.

The place felt like webster hall (as in it was the first time i felt the floor moving). everyone was dancing - Im pretty sure it was impossible not to. The new songs sound brilliant live. Ive not stopped listening to them. I met a photographer at the show and I know he got some incredible pictures. Im not sure when hes posting them - but you may wanna check out www.santiagofelipe.com (if rob (sal_paradise) is reading this- the guy totally reminds me of you - even from where you are)... btw Rob - where the F were you last night??

Ill post some of my pics when I can.

And Walter Meego - 3 guys from Chicago were brilliant openers. they were a nice complement. i highly recommend checking them out. the only complaint i had was that their myspace page had much more dance-y tracks. they slowed it up a bit last night, but regardless they were good. The keyboardist was a bit spastic (rather like the guy in the presets), so i could see how they were together.

anyway - if you can get to philly you owe it to yourself to see them. im kicking myself for not seeing them in brooklyn. i should have seen M83 earlier (ie at music hall) - then 2 nights of the presets. ah well. win some, lose some.

either way - it was kinda like when i walked out of digitalism. digustingly sweaty and hotter than hell, but you couldnt wipe the smile off my face. i was going to hit the after party - but i was dead tired from being up way early for an interview (for a job i didnt even get  :(  )

The Wacos rocked the house last night, as they always do. A good career-retrospective setlist, plenty of political witticisms & hilarious commentary from Langford and some fine revved-up boozy covers for the encore. You shoulda gone.
