Program to Edit Sound Files
« on: January 06, 2005, 11:43:00 am »
I'm looking for something that can edit (particularly to cut the length) of sound files.  All of those CDs with cut little soundbites and bonus songs after the last track aren't so cute when they're taking up precious iPod space.  Any ideas?  And I'd be super happy if it was free, but I know that might be a fool's dream.

there should be some software on download.com that I used for exactly the same purpose as you are talking about, but I dont remember which I used, there are several

you can also download a demo of Sound Forge but will only be able to use it for a limited time

Thanks to the both of you.  I'll try out a few and see what works best.

As for econo, my resolution is to quit him cold turkey.

if you're using iTunes, you can just change the properties of the song and have it cut off (or start) at a certain point ... not sure how this affects the song size ...

otherwise go to download.com for good freeware...
