For the same reason why there aren't anymore blatantly politically incorrect portrayals of other ethnic groups such as the Asian character played by Mickey Rooney in "Breakfast at Tiffany's"... Our society has become more cultural diverse and enlightened.   Political incorrectness has gone to far to be sure, for instance would Mel Brooks be able to get with making a movie like "Blazing Saddles" today?  Make me cringe just don't me feel completely wrong.
