The new Jesus and Mary Chain record is quite good.

I want to like it, I'm really trying to like it, and when that first song comes on, I'm head-bopping and into it. But after that I zone out and then realize I'm at song 6 and have no idea what I just listened to. I'm not giving up on it yet, but it's definitely "late-era JAMC" which I understand is entirely appropriate since they are late-era JAMC. It's just not the sound I'm looking to re-live.

Also, why in the hell do they use such a tinny-sounding drum machine? It's so annoying how anemic and lackluster it sounds. Just shell out for a real drummer, goddammit. Losing Bobby (or anyone, really) on drums was the biggest mistake they ever made.

i like it now a lot better than when they first opened there.
david said they will be carrying even more new releases and reissues soon.
and i always get a fair price/trade for what i bring in.
sunday mornings i can usually get there and back home pretty easily.
