What do 750's of Cantillon normally go for?

I was in the El Cortes Ingles Department store at 9:30 pm on our last night in Lisbon before flying home. We had to catch an Uber to the airport at about 4am if I recall. I saw 750 bottles of the Lambic for 26 Euros. My options were:

1. But one and drink it warm 6 hours before our flight.
2. Pay 70 Euros to check a bag (discount fare with carry on bags only)
3. Pass on it.

I mean... that's a loaded question. If it was a shelfie loon, half that... If it was a seasonal (which I'm sure it wasn't), probably about accurate pricing.

reddit: Cantillon Prices at Brewery (from 4 months ago)

per this image, to-go 750's were €7.50 for standard geuze, and up to €15 for fruited/dry-hopped (mind you, the two on offer weren't their top-notch exclusives like lou pepe or foufoune).  i'd expect prices at a retail reseller, in another country, to be higher... but still, hopefully €26 was for a non-standard.

paying €70 for a suitcase full of 'loons would have been economical, had you planned for it - but probably impossible to pull off on the spur of the moment the night you're leaving euroland.  paying €70 to bring home 2 bottles wouldn't make sense.

Could have gone in the weed thread

Seattle’s Redhook Brewery has been sold by Anheuser-Busch to cannabis company Tilray Brands in an eight-beverage brand deal

I could've sworn they went out of business years ago.

You must be thinking of someone else. They get their cans, bottles, and kegs pretty regularly at Dominion. Probably other places too,

Who is Julie?

Does that mean that Downtown Silver Spring will be left with no breweries?

Julie Verratti is one of the co-founders of Denizens. The team laid the groundwork for changing the laws in Montgomery County to allow for brewpubs, local production and distribution. Denizens was the first ever brewpub in Montgomery County, having opened in 2013. They really paved the way for your favorite local MoCo spots...
