mentioned previously that I noticed Sean Eden wearing a 930 Club shirt earlier in the day when Luna was in Seattle last month, now there's video of the band's KEXP performance later that day with him still wearing it.....

Anyone else go to Clutch Sunday night? It was a fun show but Clutch only played 70 minutes. I know they want to let people get to the metro in time but damn.

the 2004 9:30 show where The Bakerton Group (Clutch instrumental) opened and then the band did two full sets and a three song encore comes to mind. Clutch played like 30 songs that night! By-gone Clutch era now I guess.

I attended; really enjoyed it; 70 minutes was perfect, for I am old and tired, and had to work in the morning.

Glen Hansard, Kishi Bashi, Laura Gibson, and The Sufferers were the surprise guests. It was kind of fun not knowing who would come on stage.

Sharon Van Etten was great.

I think I'm too sober/old for Dan Deacon.

I have seen Dan Deacon enough in my life, I think.   ;D  (I am sure I will see him several more times)

The best shows of his that I attended were NOT the dance off ones (though the dance off in the dark of the campgrounds of Fields Fest was cool) but ones like his Pardalince Bird sound experiments or when I saw him at the Crown testing new songs out live...  or the one time i saw the Dan Deacon Ensemble...

The dance off is old.  Corny.  Played out.  Sure it can be fun, but he really needs to get a new gimmick/shtick.

You should do some interpretive dancing this weekend at the Ottobar.

don't have one negative thing to say about the entire experience... literally nothing. Amazing food, weather, drinks, other things... I've always loved that part of the country and with music at night, it couldn't be beat. The BPM festival going on at the same exact time lively upped the area as well throughout the week.  The sets weren't the best ever, but good enough. I think some folks had some minor complaints that stayed at the lower end resorts.

Regarding your second question, that's about accurate.

escort DESTOYED at the BC last night.  i'm not saying it's automatically the best night of dancing DC will see this year, however you're going to have to bring a really strong case to make me believe otherwise.  what a fun, fun show.  can't wait to catch them again.
