On a smakie knows TV tech

any thoughts on this http://www.shobot.tv/

guy I worked with years ago is a founder

I signed up just to see if it's easier than how I currently have been handling that scenario.  It will be interesting to see how it handles (1) Whether or not I currently receive that channel and (2) how it handles one off, ie not series, recordings.

Also, I'm not sure if I shared these or not, but I know I've told the Director about these...

Best under $50 in ear headphones I've used with my Android Device.  I backed them on indiegogo a while back and they have been well worth it.  Now available on Amazon:

Z:ero Digital Earphone Integrated on board HiFi AudioDAC and headphone amplifier

A solid 4 hours of web surfing, and not a single ad has lit up nor has the Chrome Extension.

If I get home and my DVR has a bunch of Ro-Co's on it, we're having words....

ro-co = rom-com = romantic comedy, AKA a chick-flick?

(and smackie, act tough all you want, but don't tell me there aren't already 12+ rom-coms on your DVR...)

What's everyone's personal Mt. Rushmore of Ro-Cos? I was just discussing this with some people. I go with:

My Best Friend's Wedding
27 Dresses
Princess Bride
Sleepless In Seattle

The actual shorthand may have been rom-com and I screwed it up.

There are two.  27 Dresses and Love Actually.

It helps that we just moved into our new condo and switched back to DirecTV a month ago, thus the DVR started clean.

Oh wait, three - Devil Wears Prada, but that's not really romantic, but definitely a chick flick.

In addition to Knocked Up and Princess Bride, I don't mind watching these at any time....

Say Anything
The Sure Thing
10 Things I hate About You
The first 3/4's of About a Boy
Clueless
Groundhog Day
Love Actually
Show me Love

Then there's this sub category where you got tricked into not realizing that you're watching a rom-com because it was cinematically beautiful:

Punch Drunk Love
Her
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Lost in Translation

Whoa, whoa, whoa. We're going to have to have a whole side conversation about what constitutes a Rom-Com. Clueless and Groundhog's Day? That sublist of four? That's not really what I think of when I think Rom-Com.
