these guys sound really fine, but 90 in the shade is no fun for a brass player.
marine jazz band cancelled tonight, they're getting soft.

i've definitely listened to them more in the past 6 months than i probably did in their lifetime,  but that's not a bad thing.

Mixpak Records took over Rinse FM last night for their first show and it was AWESOME! If you're into Dancehall and other tropical sounds definitely check it out.

this was just before he was embraced by the jamband community,  which i always imagined he was somewhat nonplussed by, being such a bebopper at heart.
tough, angular playing in the early 80's mile vein.

actually a CD compilation of some stuff he did with niney the observer 74-76........pretty good.. got the soul syndicate on most of it... some of these Jamaican musicians its just amazing how many tracks they played on.. people like Chinna... good god..
