Couldn't agree more with the above thoughts on Tired Hands... Haven't ever had a beer from there that's really blown me away and their "milkshake" series is down right gross (I think I just don't like vanilla/massive floaties in my beer).... and well, Philly. Eeeew.

Where's everyone drankin' next week?

and likely a host of others....on their home turf...

May the ounce to beer/cost ratio forever be in your favor. I'm predicting massive savings on this trip.

In other news, it appears Lawson's is somehow distributing Sip of Sunshine in the DC area as multiple stores have it as of yesterday.

Pretty sure the Lawson's is a one time thing for CBC...I think we'll probably see some other out of market cans and bottles too.

If I were here next week, I'd be hitting Brookland Pint for lunch most days.

Bluejacket brewery is planning a major expansion beyond D.C.
Bluejacket Brewery is gearing up for a period of major expansion. The three-year-old brewery is searching for a site for a second production brewery outside Washington, as it aims to almost double the annual output at its Navy Yard brewpub from 2,200 barrels to around 4,000 barrels, add a canning line, and begin distributing its beers around the country.

What?s new around Nationals Park in 2017? Beer gardens, brewpubs and Shake Shack.

I snagged a four pack of Lawson's and had one tonight and damn, that beer is stellar. Hoping I can get some more tomorrow. (stupid work doesn't let me bring beer into the office so won't be able to get and until after work)

i won't be attending any CBC events this week, unless i sneak out for lunch somewhere (assuming i can find one, maybe PizzaP in dupont?).  i'm still trying to empty my cellar.  doesn't make sense to go out for beer when i've got more than i can handle at home.

another thing that i won't be taking part in, for the same reason as above, is Savor.  the list of breweries is below, the list of specific beers they'll be serving is here.  while not get-on-a-plane mind-blowing, i could certainly find enough in there to keep me very happy for an evening ;D

sounds pretty good...
18 taps offering a wide variety of only the freshest craft beer inside our Clarendon taproom. From sours to barleywines, we offer ales from our brewhouse on site, or our flagship brewery Heritage Brewing co. in Manassas. One tap is dedicated to featured local breweries and collaborations. Our cellar consists of our own barrel-aged, limited release, and sour bottled beers which are available in house and to-go, along with six packs and fresh filled crowlers.

Edit...didn't realize that Heritage was pretty available locally and haven't been too impressed, but this still sounds pretty good

Heritage sucks. Their IPA is called "Freedom Isn't Free". I bet they all voted Trump.

Greetings from Asheville, y'all. The Funkatorium is awesome. Live bluegrass tonight. How's the Craft Brewers Conference events going?
