I was just talking to some of the staph about that the other day. As I was walking in, one of the folks working the door just shook her head and said "Why don't you just get a cot in here?". On an another occassion, I was told to just get the 'of age' stamp  permanently tatoo'd on my hand.

Anyhow, we were joking that it would be probably be worth my while to get a "season ticket". So whaddya think Seth?  :)

Im in...Really looking forward to it.  Not familiar with Mercury Rev at all but Ive heard good things.

Ive heard phenomenal things about the Doves live show.

Will be very interesting to compare them to Snow Patrol the next night.  Same type of sound, but I must say Im a little more excited for Doves.

Should be 2 great concerts back to back.

going a little off-topic (my apologies, brenn)..

what would the club have to charge for an annual pass? (this is totally hypothetical, i know capacity issues would come up if they ever tried this)

but you figure the average "hardcore" concertgoer sees around 30 930 shows a year. if they bought the annual pass, it'd go up to maybe 50.

avg price of show roughly $20 x 50...

 a cool grand?

anyone willing to drop $1000 by dec. 31st to have carte blanche on all 2006 shows at the club?

 (yeah, i'm bored)

The NorVa in Norfolk has a "VIP" pass which is basically +1 admission to every show and a special roped of balcony and I believe they charge $4000 for it.

Of course, their bookingss aren't as consistantly as high quality as 930's but just as a comparison...

good lord. i guess capacity issues don't arise at that price.

actually, you split it with another musicfiend friend of yours ($2K each)...and VIP...it's not that bad.

I would love to go tonite, but alas, I am ticketless. Unless someone out there is willing to have pity on little ole me? I do run what one DC lawyer recently called "DC's Pitchfork," if that helps. In other words, I have access to free tickets for other shows. Just not this one sadly.

I was thinking more along the lines of $3000 (3 shows per week x $20 show on avg x 52 weeks). As it is, I go to about 60 shows annually. I don't think I could justify going to doubling that..but I'd think about it if it meant *guaranteed* admittance to each and every show (incl unannounced secret ones, etc)

I'd readily buy into a 50 show plan, as long as I was guaranteed access to the 50 shows I wanted to see.  No exceptions, other than truly private gigs.  I'd have a hard time justifying 100+ shows upfront though, both financially and the time required.
