this weekend i came home with a growler of grapefruit sculpin and a sixer enjoy by unfiltered.  the missus, who typically doesn't like IPAs, had 2 servings of each.  tears of pride ensued.  the end.

It's the new Founders winter seasonal IPA. At 7.0% abv, it packs more of a punch than the sessionable All Day. It's made with azacca hops, which I'm sure Sweetcell or Sidehutch could tell us more about.

Another interesting Founders development is that they're not making Double Trouble this year.

It's made with azacca hops, which I'm sure Sweetcell or Sidehutch could tell us more about.

azacca is a new kid on the block, not looking like a blockbuster say the way mosaic was.  big tropical & citrus flavors AKA meant for IPAs.  

i was given a 1 oz sample, smelled really nice out of the bag.  i dry-hopped a sour with it along with an ounce of motueka.  with everything going on in that beer it's impossible to pick out what the azacca is contributing specifically but it's a damn fine beer
