So I was under the wrong impression that the Troegs'  Perpetual IPA was a sessionable one.  It's not (7.5 ABV)  and quite tasty!!

more of a beer-n-bike guy...but for those who like to run-n-drink

The Growler Relay
Fair Winds is pleased to announce that we will be working with VA Momentum and Lake Anne Brew House in the most epic BEER RUN you'll ever do...The Growler Relay!

The Growler Relay consists of teams (with up to ten runners) and will take off from our taproom to Lake Anne Brew House and back for a total of 61.9 miles! Road trip dancing, transition point games, craft beer shenanigans, a large finisher party back at the taproom! Race day is April 22nd!

Don't hesitate, team spots are very limited and WILL sell out very quickly (last race sold out in less than 24 hours!!!) Register now at https://www.vamomentum.com/growler-lorton.html

edit...just read the FAQ...it's a dry run ;(
Can my team drink alcohol on the course?

No. Drinking alcohol while on The Growler Team Relay course is strictly prohibited. Teams found in violation will be removed from the event. Save it for the post-race party at Fair Winds Brewing Company.

FINALLY had some Right Proper last night (Raised By Wolves). Very drinkable but I was ready to move on by the time I got 2/3 of the way through my glass.

What else should I try from them?

Yet many wouldn't think twice about paying $40 for a bottle of wine.

I think I paid in the $25-$30 range for one of their bottles at the brewery, but i wrote that off as a souvenir purchase.

Pro tip: Best bet on drinking some affordable Cascade is catching it on half price draft night at Smoke and Barrel.

that's a pretty good idea...especially the idea of having different ones and one could keep adding new ones as ones empty
but at $400...I'll put up with the headache of finishing a growler in one night :)

I can't believe I can routinely get a bottle of Kriek for $20 in Jersey. The price I have to pay is a weekend with the in-laws, however.

hopefully never, as far as i'm concerned.  BBA'ed sours is the new frontier.

on the upside, there are plenty of non-BBA'ed beers out there.

Other than VA where I drink about once every few years, the same MD/DC bars seem to be on EVERY SINGLE list.
