The most vicious I've ever encountered.
I got my wife with that one at her office and she was so mad at me.

dunno why everyone is foaming at the mouth over yet another "alternative" rock festival.... i'd much rather see a mainstream "indie" fest at merriweather in sept around the time of CMJ   bet we'll see the likes of Phoenix touring around these parts them

Because people need to schedule travel plans and vacation. Luckily, I teach during the week so I won't have to worry about vacation, but I do need to know whether I should plan a trip up to New Jersey for APW. I'd rather not see the cheap tickets to Lollapalooza or APW sell out before V-Fest is even announced.

yeah!!!! but seriously the only place I could see it happening is Pimlico or RFK.  Merriweather or even Nissan would be way too small IMO. As previously stated going to the last Hfstival and Warped at Merriweather was kind of a nightmare.. too many people in too small of a place.  Would love to see a late august or September date for V-fest.

Maybe its just me, but a music festival loses loses a lot in regards to atmosphere when you put it in a stadium or even in a pavilion.  I know Pimlico is a big race track, but I was willing to not give a hoot when I realized how big it was, during that first VFest.  I don't think we have the best music festival in the world, but having one so close makes it the best option and it can always get better as it goes on.  Even on years when the lineup isn't to your liking (I skipped last year and went to Lollapalooza) you can always hope for next year.  If they moved to it a different location, that's fine with me as long as we keep it going.  But I'd hope it was somewhere nicer than RFK.

We can be super-green and walk to somewhere nicer than a decrepit, 50-year old stadium.  Thom Yorke is an asshole.
