The brand of beer you prefer says as much about who you are as the car you drive or the music you enjoy.
What be your brand?
-
You can't start a thread like this and not include your own beer.
-
RGL (http://www.rollingrock.com/), although Molson Golden will do in a pinch.
-
I only drink beer when visiting Edinburgh, Scotland
-
I thought Team Dupek was T-total?
I have developed a taste for:

I don't drink any brands that are younger than me.
-
your car does not look like this: Big damn image (http://www.ordo-maximus.de/Public/Car/Rest/Red%20Bull%202.jpg) then?
I think you are missing out, small American craft breweries are knocking out some great beers right now.
-
I know i am Canadian, but for almost 2 months now, i have been addicted to:

Yes - these are pretty nice alternatives
The creator of Celis White was involved with developing Hoegaarden:
http://www.vansteenberge.com/newmodel/htm/2en/21500en.htm (http://www.vansteenberge.com/newmodel/htm/2en/21500en.htm)
[Where does the Celis White come from? Today it comes from Austin, Texas (USA), but originally of old it came from the picturesque Flemish-Brabant village of Hoegaarden, close to Tienen. For years, Pierre Celis devoted all his care and energy to brewing the Witte van Hoegaarden. Still, that wasn't enough to prevent the old conditioning tanks from becoming damaged and serious investments were needed to save Hoegaarden. Celis installed a new modern brewery with stainless steel kegs, but he kept the centuries-old recipe. ]
I used to drink it when in Austin TX (brewed there) & then they closed up. It's just being re-introdcued. It is EXCELLENT.
-
I had some Allagash white and I thought it was pretty close to Hoegaarden. Mostly I have moved on to the super hoppy beers.
But I have developed a soft spot for Victory Golden Monkey.
-

Hooray! Our taste in beer is as pretentious as our taste in music!
I'll ususally drink whatever's cheapest. If I'm in a particularly saucy mood, I'll go for a high alcohol content import, but if I'm going to distance, I'll take the lightest I can find.

Ever since my tour of the brewery, I'm all about Heineken. I know, I go to Amsterdam and come back drinkin' Heinie.
And I've become quite fond of the Schlitz cans at DC9.
In a fancy mood, nearly any Hefeweizen will do.
-
my favorite recently is the seasonal beer at Open City:
Anderson Valley Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale (http://www.avbc.com/beers/solstice.html)
really tasty stuff

That we're all an overly self-conscious, preening lot of pretentious dandies.
Except for me, of course.
-
Not unlike how I've stop being a music snob, I have also stopped being a beer snob.
Therefore, the girl in the moon and the champagne of bottled beers it is for me:

Do you drive a Taurus or a Camry?
-
My favorites tend to vary by season:
Guinness (winter)
Paulaner Hefeweizen, Allagash White, & Hoegaarden (summer)
I usually drink Stella or Boddington's any time of the year.
And I like anything brewed by Unibroue (http://www.unibroue.com/), but it's too expensive to drink on a regular basis...

-

With those "Kraft Brew" names...the jokes write themselves

Remember when we tried to do a beer thread, and it went absolutely nowhere?
That was back when Vansmack was driving a Camry.
