Kenny Rogers historically always has a great spring ERA but his regular season one is around the five mark. Spring training doesnt mean squat.

What about Chet Lemon?  What about Lance Parrish?  What about the 1984 World Series?

It was great living in Michigan when the Tigers were good.

Obviously, I'm a big Sox fan, but I did have a soft spot for the mid 80's Tigers. Lance Parrish is one of my favorite players ever, and Trammel, Whitaker, Gibby, Morris and Tanana...yeah, I was really into baseball cards.

Whenever Whitaker was up, you'd hear the stadium echo with "Looooouuuuuuuu".

To be honest, the mid 80's was the only time I was really into baseball.  And that's pretty much due to the Tigers.

ahh yes, frank tanana. . .for some reason, he was my favourite pitcher when i was growing up.  i think i finally got all of his baseball cards when he retired, but topps started doing re-issues recently (the set is called "archives"), and in the 2001 set there's an autograph card.  doesn't show up on ebay too often.

How much are my two Ricky Henderson rookie cards worth these days? Last time I checked, maybe ten years ago, they were at $180 each.

I've got a 1984 Mark McGwire USA Olympic card.  Wonder if that's worth anything.

1980 topps, yeah?  presuming that it's still in excellent condition, card is worth $70.  will probably go up when he goes into the hall of fame.

as for thirsty's mcgwire. . it's worth $50, assuming the same conditions as above.  it too will probably go up when he enters the hall of fame.

That card, plus the 1985 topps Extended Roger Clemens rookie card were the gems of my youth...
