hoping to hit up Dr. John last minute this evening...

Poor Dr. John... kind of a brutal. Not sure why I expected much better from a pretty unhealthy old dude.

Saw him at the Birchmere about a decade ago and it was a fun (but short) show.  He was in great form then, but that was a while back

Billy Breathes, I think, got good reviews when it came out.. and that was their last good album.... a very good album.. on some days a great album

I really like the TAB album too.. the one with all the horns..

somebody wrote it on a board: if you go out on haloween dressed up as yourself its pretty lame

this was a very very bad move for Phish I think...we know they can't write songs anymore..now they can't even cover other people on halloween? what is left??

http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6143242/ed-sheerans-x-debuts-at-no-1-on-billboard-200-albums-chart

Another rock act, Phish, nets its highest-charting album since 1996, as "Fuego" bows at No. 7 with 32,000. That ties with 1996's "Billy Breathes" as the band's highest-charting set. "Fuego" is Phish's 32nd charting effort, it?s first top 10 since1998's "The Story of the Ghost" (No. 8 peak) and the first studio release since 2009's "Joy" (which debuted and peaked at No. 13).

First of all let me say I'm interested in the new album because Bob Ezrin produced it and all the good things I've read from people...so I may purchase it BUT

you can't compare stats like that... because nowadays with a paltry 32,000 you're in the top 10! and next week it will probably be down to 10,000 at most... back when Billy Breates came out you had to sell a lot more to be in the top 10....probably 5 times more.. don't have the exact number...

I have only ever been to The Pinch on weekends and while they went late, they did not end too late to Metro. Isn't tonight a weekend night? Doesn't Metro stay open until 3? If so, you should be fine.

yeah I wouldn't count on metro....they're all about cutting service and raising fares thereby driving away customers and having to cut service more and raise fares again etc etc its a brilliant model..
