Lizzy- Vagabonds



I find Lizzy to be one of the few "classic rock" bands that wasn't beaten to a pulp by classic rock radio and they still sound fresh to me...

I listened to the Sugarcubes and remembered quickly how much I hate them even if I love Bjork's voice. so I'm back to King Grizzard and the Lizard Pizard...

Jamiroquai - Automaton

lots of analog keyboard, i'm guessing that jay kay has been noodling with a Moog for the past 7 years... it's as funky as you'd expect.  there are some atonal dissonance/12 tone undercurrents that initially put me off the title track when it was first released, but in the context of the album the sound works.  second time through and i'm loving it.

Its a crazy story full of twists and turns.  I'm in the middle of Chapter V, and will likely finish tomorrow too. 

I guess this is what Starlee Kine was teasing a few years ago when she dropped outta sight.

learn something new every day. i thought the picture of the allmans was taken in front of the fillmore  but in fact it was in their hometown and they're cracking up cause duane scored some drugs i guess they are smokin'


the back of the cover is the roadies..i figured but never thought much about it.. heck of an album


duane dying so early has to be one of rock's tragedies

Gram Parsons Anthology CD 1


I read the entire booklet for the first time while reading it.. how interesting.. i had no idea about Gram's sad story...

this is one of the better anthologies out there but sadly out of print as I'm sure soon will be a ton of great music...

another of music's great tragedies of course...it made me happy to realize herb pedersen played on some stuff with gram as I saw him join Mudcrutch at the 930..
