Mickey Hart on Monday...

is schools from widespread playing with them the whole tour, or just some shows?  should be a blast.

i wonder if i'll have to spread my ass cheeks for security . . . you know how 930 is when the jam band comes to town.

nevermind

"The Mickey Hart Band lineup consists of Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools, Grammy winning percussionist and longtime bandmate Sikiru Adepoju, Tony Award winning vocalist Crystal Monee Hall, singer Tim Hockenberry,  drummer Ian ?Inx? Herman, guitarist Gawain Matthews, and keyboardist Ben Yonas.   JamBands.com gave the band?s recent tour stop in NYC rave reviews stating that ?Mickey Hart is nothing short of a musical genius and it shines through in everything he does. Whether he?s working with George Lucas, NASA, or throwing together a unique group of musicians for a band, its apparent that Mickey isn?t satisfied doing the same old thing?..?"

i'll be the only one there wearing a funny cat shirt i'm sure.  just look for the one guy not wearing a tie-dye shirt . . . and let's have a beer!

I'll be at the Mickey Hart show tonight, too.  Haven't heard the new record, but Mickey + Sikiru is worth the price of admission, no matter what they do.

I told my wife she either had to have sex with me tonight or let me go to the Mayer Hawthorne show.

She handed me 40 bucks and said "Get yourself a ticket and a nice t-shirt."

Agreed - great show last night.  The venue was maybe 1/3 full, but the band played on.  Maybe 1/2 Grateful Dead songs and half new / jammy material.

I ended up working till almost 10pm and just stayed home.  I hope they get a headlining show sooner than later, I absolutely love Black Up.

Thought about Hotel Lights tonight...anyone else?
Kinda embarrassing but they're actually not too bad - Honey Brothers at DC9 Saturday. Friend bought an extra by mistake if anyone is interested.
