I heard Clarence is not playing these final shows...
source?
-
Apparently in a Rollingstone interview?
-
I don't think that's true...I saw video clips from the interview with Clarence and there was no mention.
Some guy on the BTX board is claims he is playing Born to Run start to finish in DC and Balt, that I'd like to see. I'm not finding anything to substantiate that though.
Trust me, if Clarence was sitting out a chunk of shows it would be the biggest news on Backstreets and there is no mention.

rolling stone had a side-bar about bruce's upcoming tour, and the fact that he'll be playing BtR at several shows. didn't mention which ones, but he is doing it. i have a couple of RS's in my suitcase, i'll see if i can find the issue tonight.

It is in the Colbert issue of Rolling Stone. It also mentions how the Pixies, and Devo are doing full albums. They made it sound like he would play the album at every show.

The link to the story reads "Clarence Clemons on Hiatus from E Street Band", but the story itself is titled "E Street?s Clarence Clemons: ?This Is the Best the Band?s Ever Been? , with no mention of any hiatus.
Yes they played BtR in Chicago and were to do it in Nashville as well but that show got postponed I can only assume he'll still do it there.
Some guy on BTX claimed that he had info from LiveNation that it would happen in DC and Bal but so far pure rumor...

he played born to run the last time he played verizon a few months ago as the closer. i almost came. the fan participation and the electric vibe running through the crowd as they chant every lyric and bounce heads/bodies to every riff is nothing like i have ever seen.
but my favourite moment was when he came out on stage at the start . . . the crowd goes wild . . . and i stand (as well as everybody else around me) to applaud and show my respect . . . and the old bitchy woman behind me asks me, "would you mind sitting down?"

Backstreets.com has on it's news page that DC and Balt Born to Run will be played front to back. That's enough of an official announcement for me to believe it. I'll probably go to both shows.

I guess this is the year of front-to-back album concerts
-
That was easy...GA Floor.
-
Ditto.
That was easy...GA Floor.
-
FUCKERS!! I couldn't get GA/FLOOR :(
-
I got GA Floor for Baltimore. I got greedy and tried DC as well but got section 402 at the back (12 minute wait) so I won't bother.
-
...so I guess there is no hope for additional shows??
-
Floor here too.
-
WHY WAS I UNABLE TO PULL FLOOR? WHY WHY WHY
-
I had TWO other people at work also searching... blah
-
Your ticket kung fu is weak.
-
My mom, her co-worker and I all pulled floor right out of the gate. My mom can't do GA so we all tossed 'em back. Twenty minutes later I got in the 100s behind the stage. From there, we kept getting 400s and just settled on that course level b/c we couldn't get into the 200s. It's pretty funny how much she wants to go. I had to give her TM lessons last night. When I told her about BTR in full, she said "oh, okay...is that good?" :D

if you can get yourself to giants stadium tommorow night or saturday for the 4th and 5th nights of the 5 night run up in jersey-GO! GO! GO!
we were up there for the 2nd and 3rd nights in the series and it was a once in a lifetime experience. definitely the best springsteen shows i've been to. 3 hour sets, perfect sound, 50,000 jersey fans (who are very very very fun crowd), and an easy commute there and back with the new rail service from hoboken to the meadowlands on nj transit.

I was in the pit for the Friday (Darkness) show. Great show as usual. Will see him next week in Philly then again in Baltimore.

It's confirmed that the DC show on Nov 2, 2009 is a BORN TO RUN show!

My order says standard mail. I didn't receive them yet. It says no later than 48 hours from showtime.
-
Baltimore tickets were not paperless so you should get hard tickets. My order says mine were sent but I haven't received them yet. Many others on the Backstreets board also have not received theirs yet.
