I have nothing scheduled this week, nothing going forward.  Should Neutral Milk Hotel be my last show ever.

Due to my good luck, I won a free pass to UN Fest so I will now be going to that Friday and Saturday instead of my previous plans (I might try to do the club k hip hop show tomorrow night)...

From Sacred Bones:
Quote
WASHINGTON, D.C.: We regret to announce that the GOP shutdown of the federal government has forced the cancellation of the ZOLA JESUS show at the Hirshhorn Museum on 10/25. The Hirshhorn's statement below:

"Due to the government shutdown, The Hirshhorn Museum will be unable to proceed with the October 25th After Hours as planned. If you purchased a ticket you will receive an email with details on how to claim a full refund. If you do not receive an email from the Smithsonian, please call 866-868-7774"
If I can recognize you from your twitter picture i will say hi on Saturday Haggis (I plan on being there from Peach Kelli Pop to Weekend)!

That is weird it is still shutdown... That show isnt even until the 25th.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.  The Senate and the House have yet to vote on the compromise, and the President still has to sign it.  Nothing is done until its done.

Also from Sacred Bones:

Hey all, appreciate the sentiment. We are as disappointed as you. We will be moving the show....to next year. The Hirshhorn is a sacred space and was chosen deliberately for this performance due to the sound logistics and delicacy of Nika w/ string quartet and conductor. To do it in any other space would be an artistic compromise we do not wish to make. We will do it next year, we promise! Come to CHGO or Asheville on 10/24-26?

various vermont hippies are already claiming that they will be bringing heady toppers to sell at various phish show lots.  i would pay upward of five to ten for just one, just to say i tried it.

WarXgames had to cancel playing Un Fest Day on Saturday.  They are replaced by Cult Control.

James Ford is going to be outraged at the purported set length of this concert he never would've considered attending to begin with!
