TO SHOW SOLIDARITY BY YOUNG MUSIC LOVERS TO RESIST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION INITIATIVES AND LIFE QUIALITY IMPROVEMENT MOVMENTS, WHICH ARE ALL SUPPORTED BY THIS EVENT

"Band Together" is a charitable grassroots music and arts festival to be held Saturday, June 3, 2006 on 100 acres of private land in Damascus MD.

"Band Together" was born in acknowledgment of the poignant social and economic problems at home and abroad. It not only represents Bands coming together and playing for a purpose, but also symbolizes the desire of the average man to "Band Together" to help combat domestic violence and support international needs through education.

"Band Together" will give you the rare opportunity to experience some of the most talented musicians, MCs, and DJs skilled in a variety of musical genres representing: Maryland, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.

"Band Together" is neither a straight rock fest nor simply a hip hop show. It is best described as a multifaceted festival organized for charity yet aimed at inspiring self expression in an atmosphere of music, art, and cooperation.

Not only will it be a fun-filled day with music, crafts and dance the net proceeds from the event will go to benefit overseas education and to combat domestic violence 2 very worthy causes supported by EDGE International.

Thus, the real beauty of this "Band Together" festival is that it is not just about the music and art -- it is about helping others help themselves through raising awareness and funds to combat domestic violence and to support overseas educational programs which will aid in breaking the vicious cycle of poverty in developing countries.

Believing that we have a vested interest in the protection and education of our children, all net proceeds from this event will benefit three projects focused on the welfare and education of children.

Here in Maryland, half the net proceeds will benefit The Bernie House, a transitional home for families victimized by domestic violence. The other half will be split to benefit two educational programs in Africa that EDGE will be overseeing:

 1) The Toposa East Education Program in Sudan, and
 2) The Emusoi Center in Tanzania.

We are very excited about this event and our programs but we need your participation to make this the hottest music and arts festival to hits Maryland this summer!

Consider yourself personally invited to "Band Together" and help raise funds and awareness for those in need at home and abroad.

Dont miss this opportunity to be a part of "Band Together" 2006!!!
