jet blue..can't beleive they let this one go!

Didn't have the money or the borrowing capacity that Alaska had.

I know the Virgin from SF to DC was the ONLY option for us
I've been annoyed that Virgin didn't have any DC-> destinations other than CA

they were by far the best air carrier...(although I've never flow Emirates)

That United flight is still an option, but yeah, I much preferred the VA flight.

Out of SF:

LA/SD/Palm Springs
Seattle
Portland
Maui/Oahu
Vegas
Cabo/Puerto Vallarta/Cancun
Austin/Dallas
Chicago
Fort Lauderdale
Boston
LGA/JFK/NWR
DCA/IAD

It was heaven for me, even without Nashville.

too bad you didn't pick up some virgin stock last week
47%

I already had some in my portfolio, but yeah, a little more would have been nice.

Got a snap judgement on the new HTC A9?  My worry is that a higher end model will come out sooner rather than later and I'll have jumped to soon.  i've been very happy with my M7, but it's not getting marshmallow and it's battery life is a little wonky

and i'm fully aware that the new Nexus line looks pretty awesome, but would involve leaving my carrier to get it.

I would never buy a mid-range phone on contract.  The A9 would fall into that category and would lock you into two years, but the phone won't last that long.  And if you're concerned about the battery life of a two year old M7, the 2150mAh battery of the A9 is going to make you very unhappy.

When is your two years up with the M7?  I expect the M10 to come out in the beginning of April, just like in the previous M's.  But if your two years is up now....

Not sure what you ended up doing, but the HTC 10 is the HTC you've been looking for.

I just got the G5, and I'm pretty happy with it, but if this had come out a month earlier...

The unlocked version is ok if you're on T-Mo or at&t, could be a real challenge if you're on Verizon or Sprint.

thanks for this.  i've been meaning to dump my AT&T account and find another voice+data provider.  i'm currently paying too much ($66/month total) for too little data and too many minutes.  will investigate these two options.

You'll want to read this as a Google Voice user....

thanks again for this.  i'll be pulling the plug on my AT&T phone at the end of the month and signing up for a Nexus 5X + Project Fi.  the 6P looks really sweet but i can't justify the extra $300.

Godsshoeshine just got a 6P and has been making sweet sweet love to it for a couple days. I think it's too big and will probably end up with a 5x soon to tinker with the pre-release of Android N.  That's when I'll give Fi a go.

But right now, LG G5 on T-Mo has me happy.

I am a bit of a size queen, but the better battery and snappier processor are what really sold me. i plan to jump to fi in the fall when my contract is up

is the price difference $300? I paid $500

I am a bit of a size queen,

so that's why you liked me when we met the other week ;D

but the better battery and snappier processor are what really sold me.

the improved processor was probably the biggest draw for me (8 core, 2.0 GHz, 3 GB RAM vs. 6 core, 1.8 GHz and 2 GB RAM).  but as much as my inner geek wants better performance, i rarely push my phone that hard...

for comparable storage the price difference is actually $250: for 32 GB, the 5X is $250 while the 6P is $500.  you can get a 16 GB 5P for $200.  these prices are directly from project fi.  not sure what other retailers sell them for but i couldn't find a better deal anywhere else.

you can get a 16 GB 5P for $200.

Do not, under any circumstances, get a 16GB phone unless you are only using it for testing.  16GB will not be a solid daily driver after 1-2 months use.

And also, since many of you are jumping to USB-C phones, you must make my nerd crush your own.  He basically tested every USB-C cable, plug and adapter to let you know which ones meet spec and which ones don't.  If he doesn't give it 5 stars, you should not buy it.

the improved processor was probably the biggest draw for me (8 core, 2.0 GHz, 3 GB RAM vs. 6 core, 1.8 GHz and 2 GB RAM).  but as much as my inner geek wants better performance, i rarely push my phone that hard...

Qualcomm's new 64-bit quad-core Sanpdragon 820 with the Adreno 530 GPU and 4 GB of RAM pushes VR Porn harder than anything I've ever seen.  And I've seen a lot.

where?!? i'm seeing the same price on the Fi page...  did i just order my 5X a day too soon???

edit: nevermind, that's for unlocked units.  still cheaper to buy directly from fi/google.
