Are you serious?  Take a look at MTV nowadays...it's a pretty even split between hip hop/rap/R&B related videos and shows and rock-related ones.  And I've driven through plenty of podunk towns and seen white kids thuggin' like they were in Compton.
 
 As for country in the black communities, I do believe that a 10-gallon hat would get you jacked...

Yes, but I seemed to see more black teens than rednecks wearing expensive NASCAR jackets there for awhile.
 
 I guess NASCAR wear just isn't equivalent to country music...

Really?  I've seen the M&M's, Looney Toons and NFL logo jackets, but never any NASCAR ones.  Of course, there are very few minorities allowed inside my gated community.
