Kacey Musgraves - Same Trailer Different Park

So totally adore this album, it's one of my go to listens when my day needs a little brightening up of late.  And it's got banjos and stuff on it...

Double Negative.

Mourning their demise.

Hey Az, Justin Marc Lloyd plays guitar and sings in this emo/alternative band.

Someone out past Warrenton was selling the contents of their storage unit and let me cherry-pick their old lps - I picked up original mono pressings of Miles Davis' "Round About Midnight" and Billie Holiday's
"Lady in Satin" for a buck each, so I'm good.  Miles in mono just punches you in the face and Billie's wasted vocals shows how she could do so much with so little.

They lost their mojo when KC left the band.

I'm surprised with artists aren't releasing mono and stereo versions of albums.  Jack White alone could easily double his sales of over priced records with another version available.

I blame Walsby.

I like the music on the subsequent singles - some quite a bit - but the vocals tried way too hard to stay the same.

I'm most likely late to the game on the Wild Belle album, but it's pretty awesome.

I am really loving the new Pet Shot Boys album. Haven't been particularly bothered about an album from them in years, but this one just feels right. And today I grabbed the new Goldfrapp album so that's in my immediate future.

Also, I've been playing Bonnie Prince Billy pretty constantly in preparation for Wednesday's show.

YES.  I really like them.  I think I'd like any band named after my favorite show.

yes.  i really like them as well now.  first listen and you are hooked . . . that is pretty good for a new band.  but that usually means that their next album will suck/be popular, and then people will judge for who they are/not.
