shucks.
-
It seems that would be a regular occurrence in Seattle, where everyone is driving their Prius 50 in the fast lane.
-
are you in a cab or bus?
-
So over all the traffic and congestion in this area. I'm getting out, I think.
-
I am sorry you are stuck in traffic but I like it you guys are following the new forum format rules. I can't wait for Dog Photos.
-
Sometimes the traffic is worse in smaller locations. Try driving into and out of Burlington, VT.

While stuck in traffic, are you listening to some sort of obscure Baltimore House free jazz psychedelic punk band that no one has ever heard the only place to crowds of hundred 30 people? If so this thread is going to be a lot more interesting to certain people on this board.

neither. took my hog to work today.

Sure there are flashpoints all over. But around here in a lot of areas just getting to the grocery store can be a hassle sometimes.
-
Traffic is never a concern when you bike to work. In fact, the more traffic there is, the faster I can go. Hope this helps!
-
I guess i'm lucky that I have a Whole Foods and Giant within walking distance, and am a five minute traffic free drive to the commuter train. It kind of makes me happily oblivious to local traffic problems.

that's great if all you ever have to do is go to the train and walk to the grocery store.
I'll bet your trains always run on time, are never offloaded and you always get a seat to yourself as well.

If there wasn't so much traffic he could drive and be there in half the time.
I have a 2.6 mile commute and there is traffic the whole way when college is in session. Can take me 15 minutes to go that distance. When college is out it is a five minute drive.

neither. took my hog to work today.
doesn't WA have laws against texting (and internet'ing) while driving?
-
totally unrelated but Atomic...going to a wedding at visionary arts museum next month and think i will stay the night in bmore can you recommend a nice hotel nearby?
-
The only hotel I have stayed at in Baltimore is the Four Seasons which is nice in the summer for the Infinty pool but it will cost you an arm a leg and isn't very close to the Visionary Arts museum.
-
Poor form Atomic. You are supposed to offer to put Chaz up for the night.
-
I got something acceptable within walking distance of there on Hotwire for less than $100 the night before the Baltimore Marathon...maybe it was the Sheraton?

Interestingly, I didn't immediately message weirdo Anime girl but then the night that Everything Everything played USMH, I had an extra ticket because my buddy bailed. I texted her out of the blue asking if she wanted to see a cool show and she replied saying she was half a block away. I said "come on over!" and she said she'd be there in 30 minutes, which was good timing since the opener had just finished. However, when she texted to say "Almost there!" I went up and then saw her get out of an Uber, which is puzzling if she's half a block away, but then again, who cares and am I really gonna ask questions when A) I don't actually care, and B) it could make things boner-killingly awkward.
Wait. Is Annie Mae Relaxer's anime girl??? Its all starting to make sense now.

i saw him once or twice when i first moved here, as we had a mutual friend who would pass through for work and we'd all get together at a taproom in the city... he had clearly gone native, was thoroughly enjoying his new life in seattle (including his gig at Elysian), didn't seem particularly interested in DC, etc. haven't seen him since.
-
Thanks for the update! I know he misses the board…he has to

If I recall correctly, when I offered up to the board the perfectly amazing username of Carlos Spicyweiner, he was the one that grabbed it and used it for a year. True first ballot HoF boardie.

I think he's brennser's silent partner in that brewery in Alexandria.

He also grew his hair and founded Cloudburst, out in Seattle.

I read and he doesn't mention the 9:30 board once!
(not really sure if this is serious, but Cloudburst was an excellent stop when in Seattle)

One time a friend and I were at happy hour at Pizza Paradiso in Dupont Circle and we ran into Steve Wizzle. He was there in shorts, t-shirt, and running shoes...in the middle of a run...stopping for a beer....
True story.
Side note: I still don't get the Carlos Spiceywiener moniker, but that's ok.

It resonates with a more cultured audience.
