Wow lots of hop goodness about to hit the market.

12 packs of FRESH Lagunitas Sucks
Lagunitas Born Yesterday
Founders Harvest Ale
Victory Harvest Ale

Interesting... I saw Founders Harvest ale over a month ago in PA and NY, so unless it's a new batch it's already at least a month old.

Are you sure it was 2016 Founders Harvest Ale? They just had their Harvest Party at the brewery three days ago.

https://foundersbrewing.com/taproom-events/13th-annual-harvest-party/

I ask because I was actually still seeing 2015 Harvest Ale at at least one store in the Summer.

Also, their website says it's an October release.

https://foundersbrewing.com/our-beer/harvest-ale/

I can't say i even looked at the label as i wasn't interested in purchasing it... but maybe that was the case?

I'm not getting it if you think it sucks...

in case you're being serious: "sucks" is the name of the beer.

Founders Harvest Ale

I've never had this and am fairly excited about it.

What can anyone here tell me about Right Proper? Worth the trip?  Looks like most of the stuff is low octane.

Also looking for Stone Tangerine Enjoy by 10.31.16 if anyone has seen it.

I've, had it... multple years... and it's decent at best. Used to be stellar but there's just too many good hoppy offerings these days to settle for mediocrity.

Re: Right Proper. It took me a solid four visits to find one beer there I really liked, but if you like those styles of beers, you'd probably dig it. I'd rather spend a few hours drinking at CK than there, personally. Space, feel free to slaughter this post.

edit: if you're looking for hoppy beers, definitely not the best place to go.

Is it because he threw a random comma in the middle of his first sentence?

i've only been to the brookland tasting room, not the production facility, and i thought it was worth the trip each time.  octane might be low but flavors are high.  if your main concern is tying one on (AKA get crunk), they always have a few offerings north of 6% including guest taps which aren't listed on their website.  don't sleep on their lower ABV stuff.  some of those sours and saisons are damn tasty.

Also looking for Stone Tangerine Enjoy by 10.31.16 if anyone has seen it.

on tap at Owens Ordinary in Rockville ;D

Also the Stone Brewery less than a mile from me but that's perhaps even less helpful than Sweets' suggestion.

I enjoyed Right Proper's Diamonds Fur Coat Berliner Weisse.  It would be refreshing in this unseasonably hot weather.

Good stuff folks, thanks. Normally, I'm all about the hops but I do need some mellower for the 6 hour tailgates. Last week I took some Ocelot and it caught up with me pretty quickly.

I can stop by the Bethesda spot, I guess, but I'd love to get the Stone Tangerine home.

I love love love Right Proper. The Brookland location actually IS the production facility, though they still brew beer at the Shaw Brewpub at well. The latter is my go to place before 9:30 shows.
