Vas did not meet us for food, and we did not go to Popeyes. 

Another band we wanted to see (Pill) was playing the Crown (a few blocks from the Ottobar) and we decided to get food there (it is a restaurant/lounge/music venue). That way we could figure out if it was feasible to watch Swervedriver and then watch Pill (it was) and also their food is decent.

I accepted reality and will stick around New York for the weekend instead.  It's going to be an early show and as much as I want to I just wasn't going to make it back in time.  I might try to catch the Brooklyn show instead.
