New, Alanis Nadine Morissette, is fucking incredible.

Digital Dog remix of Taylor Swift's Love Story . . . is burning my house down, boots.

The Velvet Underground - Loaded

My three favorite Lou Reed albums are VU & Nico, Loaded and Transformer

I really don’t listen to the other ones...he made a lot of records people swear by that I never reach for

I am with you on WLWH being overrated but Velvet Underground's third LP is *chef's kiss*.

I'm with you...there are good songs on some of the other releases
but these are my top 3 hands down

I really love the double album release of Loaded ...Fully loaded
with the alt takes and  Ocean (that it was never released is criminal)
and that great Moe Tucker song - I'm sticking with you

some of these appeared on VU (outtakes compilation album released in 85...their highest-charting album!)
Then a lot were re-recorded (poorly IMO) by Lou, but I think the originals are soo much better

well "Satellite of Love" is the exception...that was awesome on Transformer

also not talking about Doug Yule on loaded and Mick Ronson on Transformer is giving too much credit to Lou

^ the 33 1/3 Transformer book is outstanding.
The 3rd VU is the one for me. Then Loaded, Nico & WLWH. The Super Deluxe sets are all worthwhile. I enjoy all the live sets but the one with Doug's brother on thunder drums just a little less so.

This is decent and free on Amazon prime right now
The Sacred Triangle: Bowie, Iggy & Lou 1971-1973 This inspiring rock-doc chronicles a seminal moment in the history of a musical movement: when David Bowie, Lou Reed and Iggy Pop were at a crossroads.

Some great footage and commentary
Did a decent job of piecing all the parts together and why these three made some of the most iconic music there is
Not the best, but it was fun to watch

Oh nice!! It's been at least 15 years since I've seen this, I need to queue it up.

I also am about 100 pages into the Tweedy bio, great read thus far.
