I got the Grateful Dead's new 1990 Spring Tour box ("The Other One") last week.   It sounds fantastic so far.  Unfortunately, it's making me realize how little uninterrupted listening time I get these days.  I can't wait to really dive into this.

that is the one with branford?

Yup.

Not with the Commotions, but a shift away from his more recent acoustic folk leaning albums... He has the keyboard player from the Commotions on board and Matthew Sweet on bass..

my gbv entry point was 'universal truths and cycles' which kicks butt in my opinion - tour stop at metro in pittsburgh was incredible - 50 song setlist - not unusual I know now, but for a newbie, holy cow!
and the miller lite did flow!

I definitely recommend Multicult to all Shellac fans.  I am not saying they are the exact same (multicult has more intense singing in my opinion) but the guitar and drum play remind me a bit of each other.

Their newest one

My favorite by them
